  Tyrone U-16 Grade 2 League

Congratulations to our U-16 squad who won the Grade 2 League title following a 2 point victory over a gallant Owen Roes side in Dunmoyle on Saturday 8th October. The Harps played with a strong breeze in the 1st half but it was Owen Roes who had the better start scoring an early goal. The Harps responded well and were leading 1-8 to 1-2 approaching the break but a second Owen Roes goal only left the Harps 3 points ahead at the interval.
Owen Roes kicked some fine long range scores in the 2nd half and they eventually took the lead with 10 minutes remaining. However, the Harps refused to lie down and Macauley Quinn kicked some great points in the closing stages to ensure victory. Final Score: Harps 1-14 Owen Roes 2-9. Scorers: Macauley Quinn 1-8, Dan Lowe 0-5, James Lowe 0-1.
Well done to all the players and to the management of Blake Smyth, Paul Dillon and Barry Coyle. Well done lads!

  Intermediate Championship 2011
The seniors played their championship semi final on Saturday (1st October) in Coalisland against Galbally. A very poor start left us in big trouble and approaching the half time break we were 9 points down. However, Gareth Devlin gave us a life line with a fine individual goal to leave 6 points in it at the break. We soon found ourselves 9 points down again 5 minutes into the second half. This was where we really showed what we are capable off and we started to claw into the lead.

Unfortunately anytime we got on a roll stoppages by the officials and some head scratching decisions by the referee stopped our momentum. We got the deficit down to two and unfortunately ran out of time and we were defeated by 2 points. Final score 2-10 to 1-11. This brings to a close the adult playing season. Thanks to all the players for their efforts and a huge thanks to manager Malachy Coyle for all the effort he has put in with this squad over the past 2 years.

  Official Opening 2011
The opening weekend has now come and gone and what a weekend it was. Right from Friday afternoon there was a tremendous atmosphere around the town and it was great to see our members come out in their numbers to make every event such a great success. A big thanks must go to everyone who helped in any way with the organising of the events and to those who took part.

Thanks to all those who have worked so hard for the past few weeks to tidy or clean up the grounds in the run up to the weekend and thanks to all those guests who turned up to share in our celebrations. Finally, a big thanks to our loyal members who helped make the new grounds and pavilion possible and let's hope that with your continued support, the growth of the club can continue for many years to come.
